Art Field Trip

I’m headed out for the day with out-of-town guest artists Karen Jacobs, Linda Stanley, and Annette Bush to give them a tour of West Coast Florida art venues. We’ll have lots of stories tomorrow, I’m sure! Stay tuned. Meanwhile, explore their blogs and websites.

I met all of them about four years ago through a larger internet painters’ group. Various small groups of these artists get together now and then at interesting places around the country and the world. This exact same group who is getting together today went to Atlanta three years ago, which I wrote about here.

They met for two weeks in New York for the Christo Gates exhibit, which I also missed, and a few of us met in Miami for ArtBasel in 2006.

Gotta love the internet for expanding real life connections with like minded people.
